Sisters of Solace loved me when I couldn’t love myself. For that reason, I’ve accomplished many things that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. In the year that I lived in the program, I flourished, they helped me reclaim my identity, build relationships with my family, I learned how to maintain healthy boundaries, I purchased a vehicle, worked two jobs, and obtained my Hi-Set.
By living in the program, I’ve learned grace, self respect, and unconditional love. I’ve never had a better relationship with God than I do now. I could go on and on about my accomplishments since being introduced to the program, however learning to love and to be loved, learning to understand, and giving back what’s been freely given to. me are by far the greatest gifts of all.
I will forever cherish this program!
Sisters of Solace was my saving grace. I had no idea what lavish love was until I did. During the interview process the love and concern was evident for me and my future. I came into the program driven for a future I could see possible and staff made that transition very real almost immediately. They gave direction and I followed. I didn’t always agree but complied because honestly I had nothing else to lose and everything to gain. During my first year we were offered classes for budgeting, boundaries, womens health, and relapse prevention. We went to Narcotics Anonymous meetings, bible study, and volunteered in community. Our missions business expanded and we had jobs. There was never a need that wasn’t met because the staff worked diligently for each sister.
Towards the end of my year, the program expanded and offered a 2 year program. For selfish reasons I wanted to leave, but God had other plans for me. I decided to stay and work through my 2nd year. My gratitude just kept growing. Coming into the program with no pride and no purpose was humbling. Because of Sisters of Solace and the team of incredible women, today my pride is huge and my purpose is evident. Rebuilding my relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has given me so much. My family has reconnected, I became a grandma 3 times during my time in the program. Today I have a life worth being proud of, a strong determination to set goals and meet them and to encourage and support my sisters! Thank you Sisters of Solace for being the light and leading me home!
I am a 2025 graduate of Sisters of Solace. I am 2 years clean from drugs and alcohol.
Before I came to Sisters of Solace, I lived in a world of chaos; Then i was welcomed home to this amazing place where i was showered with unconditional love. I was given a safe place to start my recovery journey. They loved me while I learned to love myself.
During my time at Sister of Solace, I was able to complete the drug court program and finish two different forms of probation. I got my drivers permit for the first time in my life. Of all the things, they helped me to reunite with my children. For that I’ll forever be grateful for.
I was broken and helpless before I found Sisters of Solace, but once I was welcomed I learned there was a light at the end of that dark tunnel.
I am forever grateful for the program and the amazing team that gave me the tools to save my own life.
My time at Sisters of Solace was truly life-changing. When I first arrived, I didn’t fully know who I was or how to live for myself. Through the support, guidance, and encouragement I received, I discovered my own strength and learned how to put myself first in a healthy way. Along the way, I was able to heal relationships I never thought could be repaired, and I got my family back.
Today I am living on my own- something I once thought was out of reach- and I carry with me a renewed sense of purpose, independence, and hope for the future.
There was once a time in my life when trauma and addiction felt like chains I would never break. I felt small, ashamed and convinced that healing wasn’t meant for someone like me. Then God placed the Sisters of Solace program in my life- and truly everything has changed in my life. It didn’t just help me get clean, it helped me reclaim the parts of myself I thought were gone forever. The women, or leaders didn’t offer quick fixes or judgment. Instead, they poured out patience, truth, and a kind of love I had never experienced before. Lavish love- the kind that holds you when you fall, reminds you that you are worthy, and refuses to let you stay broken. That love softened the hard places in my heart and gave me hope again.
I am grateful for every single day that I walked through those doors. This program taught me that recovery isn’t about perfection- its about progress, grace, and choosing life one day at a time. It taught me to face my pain instead of numbing it, to believe that I deserve healing, and to surround myself with people who life me higher. I wouldn’t be the woman I am without it. Because of S.O.S. I don’t just survive- I am thriving. I love again. I forgive myself. I dream about my future instead of hiding from it. And that is a gift I will never stop being thankful for.
I came to Sisters of Solace at one of the lowest points in my life – broken, lost, and unsure if hope was still meant for me. Through support, structure, and compassion I found in the program, I began rebuilding my life piece by piece. During my time at Sisters of Solace, I restored my relationship with my daughters, repaired bonds with my family, and committed myself to personal growth. I achieved one year clean from all mood-altering substances, graduated Drug Court and Family Guidance, and rediscovered my confidence and self-love. I also secured safe housing and purchased a car, giving me stability and independence I once thought were out of reach. Sisters of Solace helped light the way home for me, and I carry that light forward as I continue building a life filled with purpose, resilience, and hope.
I came to Sisters of Solace at the lowest point in my life. I woke up in a jail cell in a city I didn’t even know, completely lost and unsure of what my future held. Sisters of Solace picked me up from that jail and brought me home. They loved me until I could start loving myself, and then they loved me even more.
During my time in the program, I mended broken relationships with my family and completed the ICTS program. I obtained my drivers license, finished probation, paid off all my restitution, and resolved legal issues from multiple cities. I maintained steady employment and secured safe housing. One of the most meaningful moments of my journey was regaining my father’s trust, so much that he gifted me a car once he saw the changes I was making.
Most importantly, I stayed clean from all mood-altering substances and continued to grow into the woman I always hoped I could be. Today, I give back to the very program that helped me save my life. Sisters of Solace didn’t just help me rebuild, it helped me discover my worth, my strength, and my purpose.
